The lawsuit seeks $100 million on behalf of each woman, and it alleges a Connecticut State Police trooper failed to investigate the origins of a trunk lid in the road after another driver had hit the piece of debris and called 911, Fox 61 reported.
The trunk lid was from the car involved in the crash, according to the TV station.

Additionally, the plaintiffs claim Bryan and Wallace were left on the side of the road for nine hours, according to another Fox 61 report.
"There was a time period, and we still don't know exactly how long because we're waiting for the police report and the medical examiner's report, in which there is the likelihood that (Bryan) may have been able to have been saved," Peter C. Bowman with BBB Attorneys told Fox 61.
Though Wallace survived the crash, WTNH obtained documentation showing she is still in a rehab facility, has had at least 15 surgeries and faces "life-long impairments."
