Prominent Southington Restaurant To Reopen At New Location
The well-known eatery announced its impending move in January, with the official opening at the new site happening Friday, May 9.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — A well-known Southington restaurant will have its much-anticipated re-opening at a new site this Friday, May 9.
The owners of "The Manhattan" announced via social media that it will reopen at its new, 56 Center St. location on Friday, May 9, with reservations already being accepted for Mother's Day.
In January, owners Rob and Diane Sitz announced that "The Manhattan" was moving from its Eden Avenue site to the new location on Center Street.

Since then, the staff has been hard at work preparing for the transition.
In January, the Sitzs said the new location was a "fresh, modern space" at the former Wild Orchid Sushi Bar, which closed last year.

"The Manhattan" is a gourmet eatery specializing in steaks, seafood and unique cocktails and tapas options, along with live entertainment and jazz performances.
The Southington Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday expressed excitement about the reopening.
"Big smiles for a much anticipated opening of a Southington favorite," wrote the chamber.
Meanwhile, fans of the eatery can chart the new restaurant's progress toward reopening, with 'The Manhattan' posting regular updates on its Facebook page.
