Shamrock Run And Walk To Affect Traffic On Multiple City Streets Saturday

Parking will be unavailable from 6 p.m. Friday until 10 a.m. Saturday.

The Shamrock Run and Walk will affect motorists on a number of city streets on Saturday.

The open course road race will result in no parking from 6 p.m. Friday until 10 a.m. Saturday on School Street, between West and North Main streets, and on Race and Barnes streets.

Additionally, police said, the race will result in Park Street being closed to traffic at the beginning of each event and detoured to Divinity Street.

Traffic on a number of other streets will be stopped at times to allow participants through the intersection, including on School Street, at West Street; on North Main Street, at School Street; on Main Street, at School Street; on North Main Street, at Riverside Avenue; on West Street, at Jacobs Street; on Jacobs Street, at Steele Road.

Police are also reminding residents that Memorial Boulevard will be closed the entire weekend.
