Southington Area Restaurants Open On Thanksgiving

SOUTHINGTON, CT — For people who don’t want the hassle of cooking or cleaning up after a big turkey dinner, several restaurants in the Southington-area are open on Thanksgiving Day, which is on Nov. 28 this year.

Among Southington area restaurants taking reservations on Thanksgiving Day are:

• Ideal Tavern, 142 Center St., Suite 1, Southington
• New Mill Restaurant, 493 South End Road, Plantsville (Southington)
• The Flying Monkey Grill and Bar, 2095 Berlin Turnpike, Newington

Several national chain restaurants with a presence in Connecticut will also be open on Thanksgiving Day, according to lists curated by Delish, Good Housekeeping and USA Today.

Cracker Barrel: The restaurant will be open during normal hours, with a limited Thanksgiving menu starting at 11 a.m. Order-ahead options are available.

Domino’s Pizza: Stores aren’t required to, but some individual locations may choose to be open on Thanksgiving.

Denny’s: The restaurant will be open during regular hours.

Firehouse Subs: Hours may vary by location.
