Southington Park's Tennis/Basketball Court Repairs Taking Longer Than Expected
The recreation department has now said the project, originally slated to be finished Thursday, will be finished later on.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — Much-needed repairs to a Southington park's tennis and basketball courts are taking longer than expected, with the town now saying they will be closed through Sunday, Sept. 14.
Originally, it was hoped the work would be done by Thursday, Sept. 11, but officials said it will take longer.
As a result, the town said the tennis/basketball courts at Recreation Park on Maxwell Noble Drive in Plantsville will be open on Monday, Sept. 15.

With any project, however, comes the chance that unforeseen circumstances such as weather and/or other issues could result in further delays and extended closures, the town said.
