Southington's Apple Harvest Road Races Seek Participants
Registration is underway for the annual Apple Harvest Festival Road Race, which is eight separate events for all skill levels on Oct. 6.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Southington's biggest civic celebration is the annual Apple Harvest Festival, which takes over the town for two weekends in October.
So it's no surprise Southington's likely biggest athletic event is the annual Apple Harvest Festival Road Race, which takes place Sunday, Oct. 6, throughout town.
But this is not merely one road race, not two road races .... or three.

It is eight separate races and features events for all ages and skill levels ranging from competitive jogs to jovial fun runs to brisk walking events.
Sign-ups are ongoing for early bird discounts to participate, with full prices expected to take effect Saturday, Sept. 1, according to the Southington YMCA, which is organizing the road races.

Those who sign up early can get a T-shirt, with the first 750 getting them.
Registration and payment are available online, along with additional information about the specific events and where they start and stop.
