Southington's 'Operation Stay Warm' Helped Large Number Of Clients
Southington Community Services reported that several hundred winter coats were distributed to residents during the recent initiative.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — The town community service department's recent holiday season campaign to bring the gift of warmth to those in need proved to be wildly successful.
Southington Community Services announced that 854 winter coats were donated and distributed to clients during Operation Stay Warm 2025.
The initiative, which started in the spring with a collection drive, culminated with coats and other warm winter accessories being available at the department's free clothing shop late last year.

"This is only possible because of our community partners and the generosity of the greater Southington community," wrote the department.
While Operation Stay Warm 2025 is done, the distribution of coats and other cold-weather items is not.
