The Republican legislator of the 30th House District, representing parts of Berlin and Southington, will be seeking re-election this coming November.

“It’s been an honor to represent the people of Berlin and Southington in the legislature these past two years,” Veach said. “I hope to continue working to improve Connecticut’s overall affordability, address issues surrounding public safety, and decrease the tax burden this state continues to place on our residents.”

She is currently serving on the legislature’s Education, Judiciary and Planning & Development Committees. Veach is also a member of the Women’s, Sportsmen’s, Italian-American and Conservative caucuses.

One of her main priorities if re-elected for a second term will be to help mitigate problems related to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic, which continues to impact residents, property owners and other constituents in the 30th District.

“The pandemic brought on a whole host of issues that needs addressed,” Veach said. “It wreaked havoc on our local businesses, employment, economy and the mental health of our children. These issues won’t go away overnight, but I’m confident we can find the necessary solutions if we truly listen to one another and put politics aside.”

Berlin’s legislative contingent also includes State Rep. Catherine Abercrombie of the 83rd House District and State Sen. Rick Lopes of the 6th Senate District.
