Tennis Courts Closed For Much Of Week In Southington

The courts are getting repaired at a popular recreational site in Southington.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Folks looking to enjoy a little late-summer tennis in Southington amid the predicted nice weather will have to wait a few days at one of its parks.

The Town of Southington announced that the tennis courts at Recreation Park on Maxwell Noble Drive in Plantsville will be closed for much of the week.

The courts were closed Monday, Sept. 8, and they will remain closed through Thursday, Sept. 11.

That's because the courts are getting a much-needed repair job.

"In the event of inclement weather, work may be delayed, extending the court closure dates. Any changes to the schedule will be posted," wrote the Town of Southington.
