'Turnkey' Entertainment Complex, Bowling Alley For Sale In Southington

A large entertainment venue with a restaurant, bar, bowling alley, arcade, and more that closed last year is now on the market.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A former entertainment center and bowling alley is up for sale in Southington with an asking price of $4.4 million, according to a Sentry Commercial real estate listing.

The 32,584-square-foot building located at 240 Spring St. in Southington is the former Crystal Bees location. The listing calls it a "turnkey entertainment venue – fully equipped with bowling, gaming, and a full-service restaurant."

Crystal Bees closed in November citing economic conditions.

The entertainment complex shuttered for much of 2020 and post-pandemic conditions "made it increasingly difficult for us to continue as a restaurant and entertainment venue," the owners wrote on Facebook.

Crystal Bees featured a high-end restaurant with seating for 170, a full-service bar area, 16 bowling lanes, two bocce courts, private party rooms, an arcade, and pool tables, among other features.

The space was originally a manufacturing facility but was made into an entertainment venue, according to the real estate listing. The space has a 1,000-person capacity.

A listing agent told Hearst Connecticut Media that "in a perfect world" the new owners would replicate the property's use as an entertainment venue.

However, it's possible that the building could be converted back for industrial use, as it includes two functional drive-in doors plus nine interior docks that can be restored, according to the real estate listing.
