Members urged those experiencing hardship with rental housing affairs due to the pandemic to apply before the deadline passed.
UniteCT is a state initiative that provided up to $15,000 in rental and electricity payments in order to help households across the state impacted by the pandemic. The initiative sought to bring balance to the Connecticut rental market by supporting households making up to 80% of the area’s median income according to HUD measurements. Landlords and tenants could utilize organization’s software in order to submit applications in their respective categories for review.

“We want people to login and at least get the application started so that it’s in the incomplete area, even if they don’t have all their information,” said task force member Lori Keller. “It will give them 30 days to get it completed.”
Those with questions can contact Keller at 860-584-2825, ext. 2023 or search for the UniteCT application on the Connecticut state website.
