Upscale Southington Eatery Expands Its Local Impact
The restaurant has expanded and moved to a new location in town, with its former site still open as a side venture.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — A prominwnr, upscale eatery in town has doubled its presence locally by moving to a new location in Southington earlier this summer.
And, in doing so, it is still operating a smaller operation at its former restaurant site and still promising guests "adventures in eating."
The reopenings are in stark contrast to a suffering Southington restaurant scene that has seen significant closures in 2023, piggybacking off the post-pandemic inflationary difficulties ravaging the industr.

The Nataz Restaurant in Southington has moved to a new building, doing so in June, at 36 N. Main St.
But the old site at 28 N. Main St. is not vacated. It is now the Nataz BISTRO featuring a changing ala carte menu.

Southington's restaurants have experienced some pain in 2023, with several closing or changing.
Owned by master chef Rick Mclain, Nataz is an upscale restaurant dedicated to the finest foods and ingredients, according to its website.
Those include Colorado-raised beef and lamb, 83 percent Cabo European-style butter, organic pasta, extra virgin olive oil and homemade deserts, among others.
It also has restaurants in Clinton and North Branford.
