Well-Known Southington Brew Pub Relocating Out Of Town

SOUTHINGTON/PLAINVILLE, CT — A popular craft beer operation in Southington has announced it is leaving town for a site nearby in Plainville this year.

Transcend Beer Crafters, located at 36 Triano Drive, Southington, recently announced a move to a new site in Plainville sometime this year.

The new location will be at 45 Northwest Drive, Plainville.

According to Transcend Beer Craters, the move allows for expanded offerings that range from selling homemade craft beers to helping folks learn how to make their own.

Transcend said the new operation will "create an experience-focused taproom, kitchen, event space, and state-of-the-art production facility, promising an enhanced experience for beer and craft food enthusiasts and creatives alike."

"We are ecstatic to take this leap forward and create a hub of creativity, flavor, and community in
Plainville," said Erik Tynik, co-owner/brewer at Transcend Beer Crafters.

"Our new taproom will be a kaleidoscope of experiences, where beer lovers can immerse themselves in a unique experience-focused atmosphere while enjoying our diverse range of modern and traditional beers… not to mention our incredible food menu. We will also have other beverages for the non-beer drinker, but we think that we can convert these people into Transcend drinkers.”

Tynik owns Transcend with fellow co-owner/brewer Bob Bartholomew.

No firm date for the new site opening has been announced, other than "early" 2025, according to an announcement.

The Southington operation did close for the rest of the month on Jan. 3 so staff could train at the Plainville site, according to Transcend's Facebook page.

Transcend is building its new facility in Plainville, whereas it was renting space in Southington.
