Your Take: Should The Defense Of Marriage Act Be Repealed?

The U.S. Supreme Court hears a case about California's ban on gay marriage Tuesday, and DOMA on Wednesday. What do you think?

Gay couples have had the right to marry in Connecticut since 2008, but they do not enjoy that right very many places outside state lines. This week, the U.S. Supreme Court hears two landmark gay marriage cases that could change the landscape across the nation.

On Tuesday the court hears arguments for and against California's ban on gay marriage. On Wednesday it takes up the federal Defense of Marriage Act, which denies federal recognition to legally married same-sex couples in Connecticut and eight other states.

On Monday, there was a gay rights rally in Hartford.

What do you think? Should DOMA be overturned? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
