A contractor has filed a $1.2 million mechanic’s lien against the owner of the newly constructed Federal Express distribution center located at 456 Sullivan Ave. in South Windsor.

The lien, which is recorded at South Windsor Town Hall, states that McShane Construction Co. is owed $1.26 million by FEM Sullivan Road LLC, the owner of the property, for “labor, materials and services furnished in connection with construction, additions and alterations work” on the project.

The lien is signed by Keith Dafcik, senior vice president of McShane Construction, which is incorporated in Illinois.

Suncap Windsor LLC recently sold the property to FEM Sullivan Road LLC for $32.2 million.

Efforts to reach representatives from McShane Construction, FEM Sullivan Road and Suncap Windsor were unsuccessful.
