Dog Missing, 4 Injured After Serious Crash In South Windsor

The crash happened at the intersection of Route 5 and Governor's Highway in South Windsor on Monday evening.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Several people were injured and a dog remains missing following a serious crash Monday evening in South Windsor.

According to first responders, the collision happened around 5 p.m. at the intersection of Route 5 and Governor's Highway between a tow truck and pickup truck.

Rescue crews had to extricate at least one person, the South Windsor Fire Department confirmed via social media. The NBC affiliate in West Hartford reported that two people suffered serious injuries and two others minor injuries after the crash.

In addition to the injuries, police said a dog named Kelly was in one of the vehicles involved in the crash. After the incident, the dog fled the area and has not been located. If spotted, police ask that the public contact dispatch at 860-644-2551.
