South Windsor Director of Public Works Michael Gantick thanks citizens and businesses for patience and support in the snow removal operation.

To the Editor:

I would like to extend my thanks to the citizens and businesses in South Windsor for both their patience and support of our snow plows crews during the snow removal operation for Blizzard Charlotte.

I would also like to thank the following local businessmen for providing extra equipment to help us dig out: Steve Dearborn – Ryan Transportation; Lloyd Folsom – Folsom Construction; Howard Slater – Slater Construction; Jason Yerke –Distinctive Tree Service; Johnny Jacques – Jacques Construction; Jay Murtha – Jay’s Landscaping; The citizens of South Windsor should know that the above business men made an unquestioned commitment and effort to be part of our snow removal solution.

I would like to also thank the families of the men of Public Works Divisions of Building Maintenance, Water Pollution Control, Fleet Services, Highway Maintenance, and Parks and Recreation Department; who all made the sacrifice of not seeing their “men” during an extended period of the Blizzard.
Finally my hats off to the staff of the above mentioned divisions and departments for their unquestioned dedication and commitment to ensuring the safety of the residents of South Windsor during this historic Blizzard event.

Unbelievable effort!! Thank you.
