'Magical Night' at South Windsor's Bonefish Grill
Event raised over $10,000 for the South Windsor Community Foundation.

Over 220 people raised $10,000 for the South Windsor Community Foundation at the The Bonefish Grill’s ribbon cutting ceremony and fundraiser on Saturday evening.
“It was a magical night,” said Town Councilor Jan Snyder, who is also the president of the SWCF.
Indeed, local dignitaries who attended the event included state Sen. Gary Lebeau, state Reps. Bill Aman and Tim Larson, as well as Mayor Tom Delnicki Deputy Mayor Gary Bazzano and Town Councilors Kevin McCann, Cindy Beaulieu, Dr. Saud Anwar, Snyder and Cary Prague. Town Manager Matthew Galligan and members of the Board of Education were also in attendance.

“The food just kept coming and coming,” Snyder said. “The service was excellent, the food was fabulous. Every penny that was raised Saturday night came to the Community Foundation.”
Snyder said that the manager of the Bonefish Grill said that he wanted the restaurant to be a partner with the community and “make a difference.”

“And they did, and they haven’t even opened [to the public] yet,” Snyder said.
Delnicki agreed that the event was a tremendous success.
“What a wonderful night,” Delnicki said. “The food was fantastic, the company was exceptional. … The biggest disappointment from that night was that it ended so early.”
Delnicki added that Bonefish Grill is an excellent addition to the South Windsor community.
“The Bonefish Grill, in my opinion, is going to be a tremendous success,” Delnicki said. “You talk about adding something to the culinary delights available in our community. It’s unique.”
