Bates College, Lewiston ME
- Marrich Somridhivej of South Windsor was named to the dean's list at Bates College for the fall/winter semester ending in December 2023. This is a distinction earned by students whose grade point average is 3.92 or higher. Somridhivej is majoring in biology and minoring in digital and computational studies at Bates.

- Lloxci Lopez, a junior from South Windsor, made the Dean’s List for the fall 2023 semester, the fourth semester in a row she has accomplished this. During each academic term, students who have earned a minimum GPA of 3.6 or better in 12 or more points of letter credit in the preceding term are placed on the Dean’s List. She also was initiated into Columbia University’s Pi Sigma Alpha Mu Chapter, which honors exceptional political science students in the oldest department of its kind in the country for their dedication to public service and scholarship.
Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT
- Eastern Connecticut State University's Center for Community Engagement (CCE) recently showcased its leadership initiatives on a national stage. Four CCE student leaders traveled to the IMPACT Conference, which took place Feb. 22-25 at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX. Among the students was Nicole Leyner of South Windsor, a senior who majors in early childhood education and English.
Endicott College, Beverly MA

- Endicott College, the first college in the U.S. to require internships of its students, is pleased to announce its fall 2023 Dean's List students, including South Windsor resident Melissa Sullivan, an exercise science major. In order to qualify for the Dean's List, a student must obtain a minimum grade point average of 3.5, receive no letter grade below "C," have no withdrawal grades, and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits for the semester.
Sacred Heart University, Fairfield CT
- Danielle Savino of South Windsor was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership. Graduate students in the top 10 percent of the number of candidates for graduate degrees may also qualify, as do faculty, professional staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction.
Western New England University, Springfield MA
- South Windsor resident Elizabeth Burnham was involved with the spring musical The Rocky Horror Show at Western New England University on April 12-14. In this 1975 cult classic that features memorable raunchy rock ballads such as "Time Wrap," "Damn It Janet," and "Science Fiction Double Feature," the audience is offered a wild and electrifying journey filled with audacious plot twists and infectious energy. In her third production with Stageless Players, Burnham took on the pivotal role of Front of House. With previous experiences, including operating spotlights in productions like "Play On!" and "Little Shop of Horrors," her dedication to behind-the-scenes roles enriches the theater experience for audiences. She is pursuing a degree in business analytics & information management.
