Andre Thompson, 31, of East Hartford, was charged on March 3 with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, operating with a suspended license, failure to drive in proper lane and failure to have headlights lit. Thompson was later released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on March 11.
Jeremy Sufrin, 22, of 12 Spruce Lane, was charged on March 2 with evading responsibility and failure to drive in proper lane. Sufrin was later released on a $1,500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on March 11.
Sufrin allegedly drove across the yard of a nearby resident and struck a car parked in the resident’s driveway, according to police. The driver of the vehicle left the area and the evading operator did not make an effort to identify himself, police said. Officers located a vehicle with matching damage parked at a nearby home. Officers determined that Sufrin had struck the car and fled hours earlier.
