South Windsor Police Log for March 25 - 28

Alec Direnzo, 20, of 21 Berle Road, was charged on March 28 with unauthorized sale of cocaine, unauthorized sale of marijuana, unauthorized sale of hashish, possession of drug paraphernalia in a drug factory, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of alcohol by a minor and failure to illuminate marker plate.
Over $2,000 in cash and the vehicle were seized for asset forfeiture proceedings, according to South Windsor police.
Direnzo was later released on a $25,000 surety bond. He is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on April 11.

His charge stems from a motor vehicle stop that took place around 1 a.m. Thursday, when an officer could smell the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle, according to police. A subsequent search revealed small amounts of cocaine, hashish, drug paraphernalia and a scale.
