South Windsor Police: Man Suffers Minor Injury When Struck by Tree
The 63-year-old man was transported for evaluation to St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center.

A 63-year old man sustained minor injuries Wednesday when a tree fell and knocked him over while he was working on a job site at 930 Sullivan Ave., according to South Windsor police.
The man, whose name was not available, was wearing a helmet when the tree struck him on the head, police spokesman Sgt. Scott Custer said helmet.
While the man said that he felt fine, he was transported by ambulance to St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford for examination, Custer said.

The parcel of land the man was working on was recently approved for access and site clearing by the Planning and Zoning Commission. There are plans to have that parcel developed for retail and commercial space.
