The following is a press release from the South Windsor Police Department:
On Thursday June 20, South Windsor police officers will participate in the Special Olympics Tip-A-Cop program. The event will take place at the Red Onion Restaurant at 855 Sullivan Ave., South Windsor from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Police officers will serve as waiters and waitresses and all of the tips received by the officers will be donated to the Special Olympics of Connecticut. The 2012 event raised $7,000 for this great cause.
