South Windsor Police: Woman Eluded Police
Lakisha Bonds, 31, of Hartford, faces several charges stemming from a November 2012 incident.

A Hartford woman is facing several charges after she allegedly eluded South Windsor police officer who was attempting to question her about suspicious activity at Evergreen Walk in November 2012.
According to police, an officer attempted to stop Lakisha Bonds, 31, Hartford, as she was backing out of a handicapped parking spot. The officer identified himself to Bonds, police said, but Bonds continued to back out of the parking spot and drove off.
Officers in police vehicles were subsequently unable to locate Bonds. Police later obtained an arrest warrant and served Bonds last Thursday night.
Bonds was charged on March 7 with interfering with an officer, disobeying the signal of an officer, operating a motor vehicle when license is suspended and unauthorized use of a handicapped permit.
She was released on a $8,500 surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on March 21.
