South Windsor Resident Searches for Captain Jack the Cat
Missing feline is believed to be in South Windsor, Manchester or East Windsor

A South Windsor resident is searching for her Blue Russian male cat that went missing after the resident had a new mattress delivered to her home on Jan. 26.
Foncine Lane resident Liz Avedisian said that Captain Jack - named for the character in the Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise, not the Billy Joel song - may have hid in a box spring when she took delivery of a new mattress from Sleepy’s.
Avedisian said that Captain Jack may have gotten off at the next delivery location in Manchester - Sleepy’s won’t release the exact address - or at the company’s warehouse in East Windsor.
Captain Jack, who is 6 years old, is 15 pounds and has green eyes, along with a distinctive widow’s peak that makes him look like “a vampire,” Avedisian said with a laugh.
Avedisian said that she and her other cat are distraught over Captain Jack having gone missing and would love for him to return home.
Anyone with information about Captain Jack’s whereabouts may contact Avedisian at 860-995-7263 or at liz.avedisian@yahoo.com.
