The votes have been tallied and Bailey is South Windsor's top dog for 2013.
Bailey, who is owned by Scott Gallagher, won in a landslide, with Mai - owned by Gerald Doucette - placing second.
Bailey received tag No. 1 this year, while Mai got tag No. 2. In addition, both dogs got a - ahem - doggie bag filled with bones, toys and a leash.
"I'd like to thank the dog owners of South Windsor for participating in our dog contest," South Windsor Town Clerk Lori Trahan said.
Efforts to reach Bailey were unsuccessful.
