Spring Practice Underway: South Windsor's Team Title History
A look at the state title history for South Windsor High School spring teams, including its days as Ellsworth High School.
SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — The winter sports season is now behind us, the first day of spring looms on Tuesday and practices officially kicked off Saturday for all seven CIAC-sanctioned spring sports in Connecticut. With the coming of the new season comes the hope for success, with the ultimate goal being winning a state championship.
South Windsor High School's 17 spring team state titles date back to 1939, when the school was known as Ellsworth High School.
