Sugarbelle to Satisfy South Windsor's Sweet Tooth

Ribbon cutting for the cupcake store will take place on Feb. 5.

There are but three universal certainties in life: death, taxes, and cupcakes are just freakin’ delicious.

So take heart, South Windsor residents. Even though the IRS and the Grim Reaper will catch up with everyone, at least we can all enjoy some sweet confections along the way.

Toward that end, the South Windsor Chamber of Commerce will hold the grand opening and ribbon cutting of Sugarbelle Cakes and Confections on Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 454 Ellington Road.

The event will be held from 10 - 11 a.m., with a 10:30 a.m. ribbon cutting.

The store will focus on all things cupcakes, offering over 25 regular flavors of the tasty treats ranging from the Old Fashioned, to the popular Red Velvet, to Peanut Butter and Jelly, to Creamsicle.

The seasonal offerings push the flavors to over 50, according to a press release.

The South Windsor store will be Sugarbelle’s third location for owners and South Windsor residents Toni Cellucci and Kit Digges. Sugarbelle originally opened in Glastonbury in 2010; a second store was opened in West Hartford in July 2011.
