WILLINGTON, CT — A Christmas Eve crash left a car on its roof and the driver in custody, state police said.

The crash took place at 3:15 p.m.

According to a crash report, a 52-year-old East Hampton man was driving a 2025 Mazda Cx-90 northbound on Route 32. When the car was near the Adamec Road intersection, it veered off the pavement, struck a curb, then an embankment and eventually rolled over, according to a crash report.

Both the driver and his 62-year-old male passenger escaped injury, but the driver was arrested for operating under the influence, according to state police.
