Hurricane Henri - Update And Emergency Preparedness Information

This is a message from First Selectman Mary Mitta and Emergency Management Director James Desso: In accordance with Connecticut General Statutes Sections 28-8a(a), 28-1(8), and 28-22, a State of Emergency has been issued for the Town of Stafford and the Emergency Operations Center has been activated in preparation for Tropical Storm Henri.

Henri is forecasted to affect Stafford starting Sunday morning and is projected to bring high winds and heavy rain for an extended period of time. Based on current wind forecast and expected road closures from down trees, Eversource is preparing for wide-spread, long-term power outages.
