STAFFORD, CT — A motorcycle rider in Stafford crashed after being blinded by an oncoming vehicle, state police said.

The accident took place at 6:12 a.m. Friday, according to a crash report.

According to a crash report, a 2020 Yamaha YZFR3 sport bike being driven by a 37-year-old Monson, MA, man, was headed north on Monson Road in Stafford when, while heading toward a right-hand curve, another vehicle approached from the opposite side.

The rider was blinded by high-beam headlights, did not see the curve, and drove through it, according to a crash report. The bike first hit an embankment and then a stone wall, according to a crash report.

The rider escaped injury, state police said.
