Stafford Mourning The Loss Of Youth Sports Legend
Edward "Bosco" Fowler, 59, died unexpectedly Thursday.

STAFFORD, CT — Stafford is mourning a youth sports legend who was also a popular DJ and justice of the peace in town.
Edward "Bosco" Fowler, 59, died unexpectedly Thursday, according to his obituary from Introvigne Funeral Home.
Fowler was a corrections officer for the state of Connecticut, who also served as a justice of the peace. He was a popular disc jockey and a salesman at Bolles Motors.

Fowler became a popular figure in Stafford over the years and brought a passion for baseball (and the Baltimore Orioles) as Little League president and an organizer of several events, like a legends night that led to the building of batting cages in Stafford.
Fowler was active in fundraising for school and recreational activities, and spun tunes at many events as Gemini Juke Box DJ Services.

Condolences and tributes have been pouring in at the funeral home and on social media:
- "Bosco was such a kind and compassionate person, always willing to lend a hand. Most recently, I ran into Bosco at the dealership and he offered to help me with license plates - expecting nothing in return. I also admired his dedication, and love, for the Town of Stafford."
- "Bosco's humor, laugh, and love for his own family along with many of us will be missed, although remembered and felt forever."
- "May the love and caring he showed to so many live on."
- "There are so many fond memories of Bosco, especially from the little league years. He was always so kind and thoughtful. He will be missed."
Calling hours are scheduled for Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Funeral services are slated for Wednesday at 11 a.m at the First United Methodist Church, 8 Church St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow at Stafford Springs Cemetery.
