STAFFORD, CT — A Stafford resident had an extra Merry Christmas week at Mohegan Sun after a half-million-dollar blackjack payout.

The player, identified by casino officials only as "Jose S," hit the Super 4 Progressive Blackjack Jackpot for $525,094 on Dec. 22 at Mohegan Sun.

Jose, who said he was "feeling lucky" on this visit to Mohegan Sun, copped the payout on a blackjack table located in the Casino of the Earth, which is home to more than 180,000 square feet of gaming and entertainment.

The Super 4 Progressive Blackjack is only offered at Mohegan Sun and in a few casinos across the United States.
