WILLINGTON, CT — A sport utility vehicle wound up on top of a rock in a crash in Willington last week, state police said.

The accident occurred just after 7 a.m. on Dec. 5, according to state police.

According to a crash report, a 2002 Ford explorer with a 70-year-old Willington woman driving was headed west on Route 74 when it began to slide. It ran off the road to the left and came to a rest atop a large rock and some bushes at a property along the 400 block of Route 74, according to a crash report.

The stretch of Route 74 is bordered by embankments on both sides with very little shoulder room, according to Google Maps.

No injuries were reported.
