Willington Public Library (WPL) to Host 100th Birthday Reception on Sunday, October 22nd

Library to host residents, dignitaries and more for an afternoon of history and
hospitality from 2pm to 4pm.

Willington, CT , October 2023

The WPL is continuing their year-long celebration of the library’s 100th birthday with Fall festivities in their Community room. The reception will include:

• Guest speakers to discuss WPL’s history.
• Exhibits
• Music
• Complimentary Refreshments, and more!

"This is a great opportunity to honor, remember and celebrate everyone who has helped us reach 100 years of supporting readers and lifelong learners in our community. We are looking forward to a great turnout of neighbors and special guests on October 22nd and give back to those who supported us", says the library staff.

The library has already held a 100th Birthday Dinner Dance celebration at Willington Hill Fire Station in April, and a 100th Birthday Community Picnic at River Road Athletic Complex in August. And there is more to come with a 'Closing the Chapter' Christmas Party in the works for December.

"The library is a place for everyone to enjoy and to join in on our celebration. Come join us at the library and be a part of our history!," library staff exclaimed.
