Man Arrested After Allegedly Punching Alive@Five-Goer in Face

Police said an underage friend also took a swing at officers.

Officers at Alive@Five in Stamford's Columbus Park arrested an 18-year-old man when he allegedly punched a 17-year-old in the face, police said Friday.

Police identified the suspect as Joseph Michael Muratori, of Green Lawn Drive in Fairfield. According to police, they witnessed an altercation taking place and ran to assist. Police said upon arrival, they discovered a 17-year-old victim bleeding from his nose.

The victim allegedly pointed out Muratori as the person who allegedly punched him, according to police. Authorities said it was at this point that Muratori's 17-year-old friend attempted to step in and inform police everything was fine, there was no need to arres anyone, they would be leaving.

Police said they informed the young man no one was going anywhere, and Muratori would be getting arrested. It was at this point, authorities said, the juvenile suspect took a swing at police.

While police subdued the teen, they said Muratori attempted to flee. He was subsequently tackled and also arrested.

Muratori faces charges of third-degree assault and secnd-degree breach of peace. The juvenile offender faces the same charges as well as the additional charge of assault on a police officer.

Other Arrests

Stephanie Briscoe, 21, of Windsor Rd., was charged Thursday afternoon with possession of narcotics and sale of certain illegal drugs.

Carlos Francis, 26, of Congress St., was charges Thursday afternoon with possession of narcotics.

Amanda C. Hall, 24, of Millville Rd., in Naugatuck, was charged Thursday evening with evading responsibility while causing property damage or injury.

Catrangne Moresca, 31, of Elmcroft Rd., was charged Thursday evening with violation probation.

Jose David Pavia, 32, of Pacific St., was charged early Friday morning with possession of narcotics.

Gean Semperteugi, 20, of Kenilworth Drive W., was charged early Friday morning with evading responsibility while causing property damage or injury.

Elvis Vega-Recinos, 22, of High St., was charged Thursday evening with drinking while driving.

Robert C. Winfrey, 43, of Pequot Dr., was charged early Friday morning with possession of narcotics and failure to keep narcotics in an organized container.
