The Stamford Fire Department Is Hiring

STAMFORD, CT — The Stamford Fire Department recently announced it is hiring.

"The Stamford Fire Department is seeking motivated, team-oriented individuals to join the ranks of brave men and women that serve the City of Stamford with pride!" the department wrote in a Facebook posted.

The application deadline is Jan. 31. No prior firefighting experience is required, and applicants must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.

Applicants must also have a valid driver's license, be authorized to work in the U.S., and have a Candidate Physical Ability Test certificate dated Feb. 21, 2025, or newer.

The pay range is between $62,142 and $95,277, with pension, medical, dental, vision, paid leave and tuition reimbursement.
