Popular Cookie Chain To Open Stamford Location
The store will be the company's fourth in the state and the 344th nationwide. Here's when it will open.
STAMFORD, CT — Insomnia Cookies is opening its first Stamford location at The One Atlantic building in downtown, expanding the late-night bakery chain’s footprint in Connecticut.
The store at 1 Atlantic St., Suite D, will be the company’s fourth in the state. It is located near the University of Connecticut-Stamford campus.
Founded in 2003 by then–University of Pennsylvania student Seth Berkowitz, Insomnia Cookies is a Philadelphia-based late-night bakery chain that has grown to more than 300 locations nationwide, offering cookies, ice cream and other desserts through in-store sales, local delivery and shipping, according to the company.

"Classic" cookies on the menu range from Chocolate Chunk to Oatmeal Raisin. "Deluxe" cookies are loaded, with flavors like Confetti and Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Deluxe.
The Stamford location will offer in-store purchases, pickup and delivery, including late-night service, with a menu that includes cookies, ice-cream sandwiches, brownies, blondies, vegan options and rotating limited-edition items.

The company plans to mark the opening with an all-day grand-opening event on Saturday, Jan. 17, running from noon to 3 a.m.

As part of the promotion, new members who sign up for the company’s Insomnia Rewards program that day will receive one free classic cookie, with no purchase required, for in-store or delivery orders. Customers will also be able to receive free delivery using a promotional code through early Feb. 2.
The Stamford store will deliver to the UConn Stamford campus and nearby neighborhoods, according to the company.
The store’s regular hours will be 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. Thursday and Friday, and noon to 3 a.m. on Saturdays.
