Stamford Police Search for Truck Used in Spruce St. Shooting
Police say witnesses described an unmarked, international step van with a roll-up back door that opened to reveal gunmen.
Authorities announced Friday that they are now searching for an unmarked, white step van they believe was used in connection to the Spruce St. shooting late Tuesday night.
Sgt. Paul Guzda said witnesses identified a white truck with a door that rolled up in the back to reveal it was filled with people who police believe then gunned down . He said the only thing they could say for sure is there were several people in the truck and several shots were fired, though how many people were shooting is still unknown.

Police got a generic picture off the internet to give out to media outlets in the hopes of tracking down more information, Guzda said.
Bel-Jean's death is connected to the shooting death of , police believe, but also said it's unrelated to a that occurred Wednesday evening.

"We believe it's connected, but we can't say," Guzda explained. "It certainly all seems to be connected, but we can't say definitively. We're still working on connecting physical evidence."
Guzda said there's at least one other person out there with information on what happened, a friend of Bel-Jean's who was banging on the doors to Norwalk Hospital to get a security guard's attention. He said police still weren't sure why they chose to attempt to travel to Norwalk Hospital instead of Stamford, but Bel-Jean's friends may not have known he was so gravely injured.
"Right now, we're operating with the understanding that they were trying to get him to the emergency room," Guzda said. "They may have not known he needed it right away and, when they realized it, made a beeline for the E.R."
