New Cafe To Open In Prominent Stonington Spot: Here's When
A new shop serving coffee, tea, and more is moving into a recently vacated space.
STONINGTON, CT — A new cafe will be opening in Stonington this week.
Dock 9, a bar and restaurant, has acquired Suite 41 at the Velvet Mill. On Friday, they will be opening Stevie Lee's Cafe at the space, according to an Instagram post from Dock 9.
The shop will be open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. serving coffee, tea, and "some healthier treats."

"BIG thank you to those that support us on a daily basis, without you none of this would be possible, and we are extremely thankful to be able to grow our family here in the Stonington Borough. More to come!!" Dock 9 wrote.
The spot is the former home of Velvet Espresso Bar, which closed in November, according to The Connecticut Scoop.

Located at 22 Bayview Ave., The Velvet Mill is home to independently owned and operated shops. This includes Zest Fresh Pastry, Beehive Salon, Real Smart House, and many others.
