Stratford Woman Killed In Oxford Crash, State Police Say
A Stratford woman died after her car crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a dump truck on Oxford Road.
STRATFORD, CT — A Stratford woman was killed Thursday morning in a head-on crash involving a dump truck on Route 67 in Oxford, according to Connecticut State Police.
The crash happened around 11 a.m. on Oxford Road near Rich Farm Ice Cream. Police said a passenger car traveling north crossed into the southbound lane and collided head-on with a dump truck.

The driver of the car, identified as Shari Sirkin, 63, of Stratford, died as a result of the crash. She was taken from the scene to Waterbury Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
The dump truck driver was not reported to be injured.

The collision happened near 691 Oxford Road. Both vehicles were removed from the scene, and crash reconstruction officers were called in to determine what led to the crash.
Route 67 was closed between Towner Lane and Christian Street for several hours while emergency crews and investigators worked in the area. The road has since reopened to traffic.
The investigation remains ongoing. No additional details were released
