WEST SUFFIELD, CT — A single-car crash closed a segment of a busy main road in West Suffield Wednesday afternoon, according to police.
The crash took place in the 2600 block of Mountain Road, when a westbound sedan drifted to the right before overcorrecting and going off the south side of the roadway. The vehicle came to rest on its side against a tree, Capt. Robert Palmer said.
The lone occupant of the car, an unidentified man, was alert and conscious when extricated from the vehicle. He was taken to an area hospital with undetermined injuries, Palmer said.
