SUFFIELD, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire. More great feats will be noted as they are received in the coming weeks.

Belmont University, Nashville TN

  • Belmont University recently released the Dean's List for the spring 2025 semester, which included Gregory Gouvin of West Suffield. Dean's List eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.

Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester NH

  • Janet Vargas, Salvatore Scuderi and Timothy Gurney, all of Suffield, were named to the spring 2025 President's List. The spring terms run from January to May. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the President's List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer.
  • Aidan Cauley of Suffield has been named to Southern New Hampshire University's spring 2025 Dean's List. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the Dean's List.

Westfield State University, Westfield MA

  • Miriam Taub of Suffield was recently elected to membership into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Taub is among approximately 20,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership.
