On Campus: Great Feats By College Students From Suffield

College of Charleston, Charleston SC

• Morgan Peterson of Suffield was named to the College of Charleston fall 2024 President's List. Peterson is majoring in biology .To qualify for the President's List (Highly Distinguished), students must earn a GPA of 3.800 or higher and complete a minimum of 12 semester hours.

Endicott College, Beverly MA

• Three students from Suffield made the fall 2024 Dean's List. Those students and their majors are Marissa Dery, education; Carly Matthews, nursing; and Katherine Uzdarwin, marketing. To qualify for the Dean's List, a student must obtain a minimum grade point average of 3.5, receive no grade below a "C," have no withdrawal grades, and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits for the semester.

Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta GA

• Keara Frawley of Suffield earned a Doctor of Philosophy with a major in materials science and engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. Frawley was among approximately 6,400 undergraduate and graduate students to be presented Georgia Tech degrees during the Institute's 267th Commencement exercises Dec. 12-14, 2024, at McCamish Pavilion (Ph.D. and bachelor's) and Bobby Dodd Stadium (master's).

Springfield College, Springfield MA

• Springfield College has named six students from Suffield to the fall 2024 Dean's List. The honorees and their majors are Nina Artioli, exercise science / applied ES; Gwen Forget, psychology; Andrii Ievtukhov, computer & information science; Cooper Lorenz, exercise science / applied ES; Hailee Mailloux, psychology; and Audrey Sevigny, health science / pre-OT. Students must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours of graded coursework for the term, and must have a minimum semester grade average of 3.500 for the term.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA

• Seven students from Suffield were named to the university's fall 2024 Dean's List. The criteria for the WPI Dean's List differ from that of most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI students are named to the Dean's List based on the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and hands-on projects.
