Condolences are extended to the families and friends of those who have recently died.

SUFFIELD, CT — Here are some recent death notices from Suffield.

Mary (Bancroft) Diorio, 90, beloved wife of the late Anthony F. Diorio, peacefully passed away on April 15, 2025. While raising their family, she dedicated herself to volunteer work at St. Bernard Church in Enfield, teaching catechism, sewing and offering help wherever it was needed. She also worked part-time at Olympic Sales and Johnson Memorial Hospital, later continuing her volunteer efforts at the church and assisting the elderly at the hospital. In later years, she worked at Petite Sophisticate in Enfield Square, combining her love of fashion with her natural warmth and friendliness. As a soprano in the St. Bernard Church choir for over thirty years, Mary found joy and spiritual fulfillment through music and fellowship.

Dolores (Balesano) Kelly, 95, beloved wife of 66 years to the late Eugene Kelly passed away on April 7, 2025. Before retiring, Dolores worked as an office manager for Deringer in Windsor Locks. She retired finally at 80 years old. Two years ago, she was no longer able to stay at home and her family had to make the hard decision to move her to a nursing home. Southington Care Center became her new home and it was the best decision that was ever made. She started calling it home after a few months and learned to love each and every person she came in contact with.
