American International College, Springfield MA

• American International College (AIC) held its 139th commencement ceremony on May 11 at the Mass Mutual Center in Springfield, celebrating more than 600 graduates in the Class of 2024. Cheyenne Cantela of Suffield received a Bachelor of Science degree in the criminal justice program, and Renee Michaud of West Suffield received a Master of Business Administration degree in the business administration program.
• American International College is proud to announce that 470 students have earned a place on the Dean's List for the spring 2024 semester. These full-time students have attained GPAs ranging from 3.3 to 4.0. The list includes Ryan Levis of Suffield, majoring in athletic administration and leadership, and Joshua Nieroda of West Suffield, majoring in economics and finance.

Bryant University, Smithfield RI

• Bryant University is pleased to recognize Connor McCue of Suffield for demonstrating an unwavering commitment to academic excellence and achievement by being named to the spring 2024 Deans' List. To earn a place on the Deans' List, students must have a GPA of 3.4 or better for at least 12 semester hours of work.

Curry College, Milton MA

• Curry College congratulates Chloe Chevrier of West Suffield, who was named to the spring 2024 Dean's List.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Eastern Connecticut State University recently released its Dean's List for the spring 2024 semester, in which more than 1,200 students were recognized for maintaining high GPAs.
  Among the students were Suffield residents Morgan Bacon, a full-time senior majoring in health sciences; Nabeeha Fatima, a full-time senior majoring in psychology; Payton Salvaggio, a full-time senior majoring in social work; William Warkentin, a full-time sophomore majoring in psychology; and Marcus Grant, a full-time senior majoring in English. To qualify for Dean's List, full-time students must complete a minimum of 12 credits in letter-graded courses with an average GPA of 3.5 or higher in the semester.

Hofstra University, Hempstead NY

• Gianna Guzzo of Suffield graduated from Hofstra University in May 2024, earning a degree in dance. She also excelled during the spring 2024 semester at Hofstra, achieving a GPA of at least 3.5 to earn a spot on the Dean's List.

Stonehill College, Easton MA

• Molly Stone, a member of the Class of 2024 from Suffield, has been named to the spring 2024 Dean's List at Stonehill College. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must have a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher and must have successfully completed all courses for which they were registered.

University of Rhode Island, Kingston RI

• The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce the spring 2024 Dean's List, including five students from Suffield: Caroline Bishop, Erika Danielson, Madison Serafinski, Jenna Seplowitz and Kayleigh Smith. To be included on the Dean's List, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average.

Western New England University, Springfield MA

• Western New England University held its College of Engineering Senior Awards Ceremony on May 18 in the Anthony S. Caprio Alumni Healthful Living Center. Alexander Camacho of Suffield received the Electrical & Computer Engineering James V. Masi Creative Excellence Award. This award is given to the student, selected by a vote of the electrical and computer engineering faculty, that has shown both creativity and initiative in their senior project. This award is given in recognition of the student who personifies Dr. Masi's devotion to seeking creative solutions to difficult engineering problems. Students must have achieved a minimum of a 3.30 grade point average and have at least 60 Western New England University credits. Camacho is working toward a BSE in electrical engineering.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA

• A total of 2,226 undergraduate students at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), including five from Suffield, achieved the criteria required for the university's spring 2024 Dean's List. The criteria for the WPI Dean's List differs from that of most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI defines the Dean's List by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects. Honorees from Suffield were Peter Danise, class of 2026, majoring in electrical and computer engineering; David Fitzgerald, class of 2026, majoring in mechanical engineering; Timothy Galica, class of 2027, majoring in robotics engineering; Mara Hyder, class of 2027, majoring in mechanical engineering; and Jack Shanks, class of 2026, majoring in mechanical engineering.
