More Great Feats Accomplished By College Students From Suffield

SUFFIELD, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire. More great college achievements will be noted as they are received in the coming weeks.

Bates College, Lewiston ME

• Izzy Lussier of West Suffield graduated from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry. Lussier was also granted the Bates Senior Scholar Award, an honor bestowed upon graduating seniors who have participated in varsity sports for four years and have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above.

Goodwin University, East Hartford CT

• Goodwin University's President's List for the spring 2024 session includes 291 students, all of whom scored a perfect 4.0 GPA. Among them were Suffield residents Daniel Burgos and Kayla Desousa.
• Goodwin University announces 752 students achieved Dean's List status for the spring 2024 session. Dean's List inclusion requires a student to earn a minimum 3.5 GPA, the equivalent of an A- average, during a given academic session. The student must also be enrolled in a minimum of six academic credits to qualify. Suffield students making the list were Daniel Burgos, Kayla Desousa and Jennifer Michalman.

Roger Williams University, Bristol RI

• Evan Craig and Kiera Jan, both of Suffield, received their degrees in May as part of the Class of 2024.
• Kiera Jan of Suffield has been named to the spring 2024 Dean's List at Roger Williams University, in Bristol, R.I. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a grade point average of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.

University of Tampa, Tampa FL

• Rowan Shanahan, of West Suffield, earned dean's list honors at the University of Tampa for the spring 2024 semester. Shanahan was a sophomore majoring in allied health. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the dean's list.

Vermont State University, Randolph Center VT

• Vermont State University is pleased to announce that Ana Carla Labonte, of West Suffield, is part of VTSU's inaugural graduating class for May 2024.
