Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Collision With Car In Suffield
The motorcycle operator was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries following the Tuesday morning collision on Route 159.

SUFFIELD, CT — A segment of Route 159 was closed for about five hours Tuesday morning as police investigated a serious crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle.
Around 7:05 a.m., police responded to the 50 block of East Street South upon a reported motor vehicle collision. Preliminary investigation determined a northbound car on 159 south of Bridge Street made a left turn in an attempt to pull into a driveway, and a southbound motorcycle collided with the passenger side of the car, police said.
The motorcycle operator was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. The car operator and a passenger reported no injuries, and are cooperating with the investigation, according to police.

The North Central Municipal Accident Reconstruction Squad is conducting the investigation at the scene.
Route 159 was originally closed to traffic from Bridge Street to Boston Neck Road, then was closed from Conservation Road to Audubon Drive until the investigation was completed. The roadway re-opened around noon, police said.
