Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle On Route 159 In Suffield
A "juvenile male" was struck while walking south shortly after 9 p.m. Wednesday, according to police.

SUFFIELD, CT — For the second time in about 12 hours, a segment of a busy road in Suffield was closed by police due to a motor vehicle collision Wednesday night, this time on Route 159.
Multiple 911 calls were received around 9:15 p.m. due to a reported crash involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian. Upon arriving at the scene in the 1800 block of Mapleton Avenue, just south of the Massachusetts border, police determined a juvenile male walking south had been struck by a vehicle, also headed south.
The male sustained serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital. No further information has been made available.

The North Central Municipal Accident Reconstruction Squad is spearheading the investigation. The roadway was closed between Hickory Street and the state line for several hours, re-opening in early morning, police said.
Around 8:47 Wednesday morning, one person was killed in a collision on Route 75 involving a dump truck and another vehicle.
