Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle, Seriously Injured On Busy State Route In Suffield: PD
The injured pedestrian was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, and his condition is unknown, according to police.

SUFFIELD, CT — A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and seriously injured while walking on Route 75 near the grounds of Bradley International Airport Sunday evening, according to police.
Emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene just south of Perimeter Road around 6:25 p.m. The collision involved a sedan traveling northbound on Route 75 and a pedestrian who was reported to be walking northbound near the edge of the roadway, Capt. Robert Palmer said.
The pedestrian, a 27-year-old man from Suffield, was taken to St. Francis Hospital due to the extent of his injuries. Around 10:15 p.m., Palmer said police had no updates as to the man's condition.

Due to the severity of the crash, the North Central Municipal Accident Reconstruction Squad (NCMARS) was called and assumed charge of the investigation. A portion of the state road was closed for several hours as investigators worked at the scene, police said.
